We at lovewedding love small intimate weddings, and Glua’s and Patrick’s wedding was just that – small and intimate. But definitely not simple, it was an at-home ceremony. Of course, it is a little bit more complicated to take pictures in very small environment, especially when the ceremony and the reception all happens at home, since there is not enough space as well as the lighting is challenging, but we made sure that all pictures turned out great in order to make our newly wed couple happy.
The bride is originally from Thailand, she wanted the ceremony held with all Thai traditions in mind. Glua’s mother travelled to Montreal from Thailand to be a part of her daughter’s most important days. And by travel we mean, she got off the plane on the day of the wedding! The ceremony did not start until the mom was a part of it.
Since it was a small wedding, most of the guests were Patrick’s friends, since Glua just moved to Montreal from Thailand. But Patrick has amazing friends – in order to make the bride comfortable and to show their respect, the groomsmen all came in traditional Thai parts, which made Glua very happy.
